Men’s Track & Field Begins Spring Season at Wesleyan Invitational

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Select members of the Connecticut College men's track & field team opened the spring season at the Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

In a non-scoring meet which was moved indoors due to weather conditions, senior Christian Whitaker (Dolton, Ill.) led the Camels on the track by punching in a third-place time of 23.82 seconds. In the field, junior Mike D'Onofrio (East Haven, Conn.) finished third in the weight throw with a toss that traveled 41-feet, 8.75-inches and classmate Austin DiMartino (West Haven, Conn.) placed fourth in the high jump by clearing the bar at 5-8.

Connecticut College is expected to compete outdoors for the first time when it heads to Tufts for the Snowflake Invitational next weekend.
