NEW LONDON, Conn. – Connecticut College distance runners Scott Mason (Wyndmoor, Pa.) and Connor Trapp (Wilmette, Ill.) posted marks which ranked among the nation's best at the prestigious Sam Howell Invitational on the campus of Princeton University.
Mason started the evening by finishing fifth overall and first among NCAA Division III competitors in the 3,000-meter steeplechase by punching in a time of 9:12.24. Trapp then followed by winning his 800 heat in 1:55.41. Mason's time also ranks third nationally at the Division III level, while Trapp's finish is among the top 25 in the country to date.
Connecticut College will be sending most of its men's and women's student-athletes to compete at the Coast Guard Invitational tomorrow morning at 11:00 a.m.
