CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Connecticut College men's track & field program placed 22nd among 30 scoring teams at the New England Division Championships being hosted by MIT over the weekend. The Camels accumulated nine points by scoring in two events.
Junior Austin DiMartino (West Haven, Conn.) scored the first points for the Camels by finishing fourth in the decathlon with a personal-best 5,222 points. He most notably finished second in the 100-meter dash in 11.75 seconds as well as the high jump by clearing the bar which was raised at 5-feet, 8-75-inches.
Later in the day, senior Connor Trapp (Wilmette, Ill.) anchored the 4x800-meter relay to a fifth-place finish in 7:57.88. The group also included sophomores Christian Carr-Locke (Walpole, Mass.), Josh Simensky (Falmouth, Maine) and Jacob Brill-Weill (Cambridge, Mass.).
Select members of the Connecticut College men's track & field team will travel to Dartmouth College to compete at the All-New England Championships next weekend.
