LEWISBURG, Pa. -- 2016 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC)-East Region Player and Rookie of the Year Rade Joksimovic (Fr., Novi Sad, Serbia/Gimnazija Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj) made history by scoring 14 goals to break the Bucknell University single game record and power the No. 12-ranked/host Bison to a dominating 24-4 victory over MAWPC-Western Region Championship runner-up Connecticut College in the opening game of the 2016/inaugural Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference Championship at Kinney Natatorium.

Connecticut, which made the MAWPC Championship tournament by finishing in Second Place at the MAWPC-West Region Championship hosted by Mercyhurst University on November 5-6 at the David M. Hallman III Aquatics Center in Erie, Pa., held their own in racking up 19 shots-on-goal against one of the nation's Top 20 teams.

Kelso, Smith, King and Heros each scored once to account for the Camels' offense, while Wagman made seven saves with 24 goals allowed over the 32-minute span of the contest.

The victory advances Bucknell into the semifinals of the inaugural MAWPC Championship tournament at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, as the Bison will face Fordham University.  Bucknell went 2-0 against the Rams of Fordham (14-11 W, 18-13 W) in MAWPC-East Region action.

Connecticut falls into the consolation side of the championship bracket and will meet the Wagner at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, with a berth in the Fifth Place game at stake.  The Camels have one previous meeting against Wagner in 2016 (16-5 L) with no prior clashes against Fordham.
