NEW LONDON, Conn. – Senior midfielder Jamie Navoni (Natick, Mass.) of Connecticut College's women's lacrosse program has been named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association (IWLCA) All-Berkshire Region First Team, as announced by the national organization on Monday morning. She is being recognized for the second straight season.
Navoni, who also made the All-NESCAC Second Team for the second consecutive year, led the women's lacrosse team in numerous areas during the spring. The midfielder accumulated 56 points on 47 goals and nine assists to go along with winning 89 draw controls, picking up 30 ground balls, and causing 20 turnovers. In addition, Navoni ranks second in the league in draw controls, sixth in goals, and 11th in points while leading the team in all three categories.
The IWLCA recognized 256 student-athletes with all-region recognition. Navoni and others who were named to the first team in their respective regions will now be considered for All-America laurels, which will be announced in the middle of June.
