NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's lacrosse team was among 312 programs which earned Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad laurels.
Every school with a team grade point average of a 3.0 or higher received the recognition, and the Camels met the standard by recording a 3.21 GPA.
In addition, the Camels placed three student-athletes – Kate Bermingham (Amherst, N.H.), Erin Martin (Scituate, Mass.), and Jamie Navoni (Natick, Mass.) – on the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll. Student-athletes who are a junior, senior, or graduate student and have a cumulative GPA of a 3.50 or better received the prestigious recognition.
Connecticut College graduated four seniors and is slated to return more than 15 letterwinners next season.
