WORCESTER, Mass. – The Connecticut College women's rowing team raced at the Head of the Snake Regatta on Saturday morning at Lake Quinsigamond.
Guided by sophomore coxswain Clara Goldiner (Brooklyn, N.Y.), the Camels' top performance among four groups came from their novice four. The group placed fourth among nine boats in 20:21.03 and also included freshman Suzanne Allen in the stroke seat as well as classmates Annie Vogel and Clare Coyne.
The program also fielded three teams in the varsity four race earlier in the day. Senior coxswain Joyce Welch (Cranston, R.I.) most notably led a group which punched in a time of 18:22.399, which was good for seventh place among 19 teams in the race.
Connecticut College will wrap up its fall season when it competes at the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday, Oct. 21 in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
