PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Connecticut College women's squash team defeated Bowdoin by a 7-2 score on Friday evening at Brown University.
Competing in the highly competitive No. 2 position, junior Margaret Davey (Groton, Mass.) picked up her first win of the year. She downed Natasha Belsky by scores of 11-6, 13-11, 5-11 and 11-8. Freshman Lili Vazquez (Chicago, Ill.) posted a dominating victory at No. 6 by scores of 11-1, 11-2 and 11-3, while sophomore Denise Bonilla (New Haven, Conn.) and freshman Birgitta Salvesen-Quinn (Cambridge, Mass.) also posted lopsided victories in straight sets.
Connecticut College (2-8) will not host Northeastern tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. and recognize senior Jackie Chu (New York, N.Y.) for her contributions to the program prior to the contest.
