NEW LONDON, Conn.--Five Connecticut College Camels have been named to the 2015 All-New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Women's Swimming & Diving Team.
Sophomore Valerie Urban (pictured) of Lancaster, Pa. posted a time of 10:16.67 to win the NESCAC Championship in the 1000 yard freestyle.
Freshman Sarah Nappo (Portland, Maine) turned in All-NESCAC performance in the 50 yard backstroke, posting a time of 26.41 seconds en route to a second place scoring.
In the 200 yard medley relay, the Camel quartet consisting of freshmen Sarah Nappo (Portland, Maine) and Charlotte Nixon (Rye, N.Y.), sophomore Anna Peterson (Winnetka, Ill.) and junior All-American Sam Pierce (Windsor, Conn.) provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championship with a second place time of 1:44.70.
Connecticut College provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championship in six different swims. More information will be available about the upcoming NCAA Championship after the final weekend of conference meets has been completed.
