HARTFORD, Conn.--Sophomore All-American Olivia Haskell (Norwalk, Conn.) posted victories in the 50 and 100 yard freestyle with times of 24.78 and 53.42 seconds to lead the Connecticut College women's swimming team in a quad-meet with Trinity, Wellesley and Wheaton College in the Capital City of Hartford Saturday.
The Camels secured a 227-35 victory against the Bantams from Trinity and tacked on a 221-67 win against Wheaton while also downing the Blue from Wellesley in a 226-65 triumph.
Julia Klier (Cohasset, Mass.) posted victories in the 100 yard backstroke as well as the 500 yard freestyle with times of 1:00.08 and 5:06.99. Anna Peterson (Winnetka, Ill.) chipped in with victories in both the 100 and 200 yard butterfly with times of 59.60 seconds and 2:12.37. Mary Erb (Readfield, Maine) triumph in the 100 and 200 yard breaststroke, posting times of 1:06.32 and 2:24.42.
Senior All-American Valerie Urban (Lancaster, Pa.) won the 1,000 yard freestyle in 10:35.23 for the Camels. Sophomore Danielle Fergus (Pleasant Valley, N.Y.) posted a victory in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:12.25. In the 200 yard freestyle, Sydney Krisanda (Webster, N.Y.) triumphed in 1:57.67 for the Camels.
Anuschka Sambel (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) won the 200 yard individual medley in 2:14.23 for Connecticut College.
The Camels won both relays in Hartford Saturday. Sophomore Maeve Wilbur (New Marlborough, Mass.), Erb, Peterson and Lily Gribbel (Pleasanton, Calif.) posted a time of 1:48.83 to win the 200 yard medley relay. In the 400 yard freestyle relay, Haskell, Klier, Juliette Lee (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y.) and Gribbel posted a victory in 3:36.40 for Connecticut College.
