SHENANDOAH, Texas.--The 2017 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships are underway and five Connecticut College Camels will be crowned as All-Americans in Wednesday night's session in the Lone Star State.
In the 200 yard medley relay, sophomore Maeve Wilber (New Marlborough, Mass.), Mary Erb (Readfield, Maine), Lily Gribbel (Pleasanton, Calif.) and sophomore All-American Olivia Haskell (Norwalk, Conn.) posted a time of 1:42.98 to place sixth in this morning's prelims. They will compete in the Championship final tonight for the Camels.
In the 500 yard freestyle, Connecticut College senior All-American and Winthrop Scholar Athlete Valerie Urban (Lancaster, Pa.) posted a time of 4:58.27 to finish 16th in the prelims. She will swim in the consolation final tonight for the Camels. Haskell advanced to the consolation final in the 50 yard freestyle in this morning's session, posting a time of 23.47 seconds en route to her 12th place finish.
