Women’s Swimming Falls to No. 17 Amherst

AMHERST, Mass. – The Connecticut College women's swimming team dropped a dual meet to No. 17 Amherst by a 173-110 decision on Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore Maddie Ford (Acton, Mass.) provided the biggest highlight for the Camels by winning the 200-yard freestyle event in 1:54.88. She also ended the meet on a high note by anchoring the victorious 200 free relay which touched the wall in 1:37.92 by punching in a split of 23.70 seconds on the last leg. The group also included senior Olivia Haskell (Norwalk, Conn.), freshman Vaughn Ammon (Franklin, Tenn.) and sophomore Kenzie Healy (Westport, Conn.).

Connecticut College (2-2) will next compete in a dual meet at Trinity on Monday afternoon at 1 p.m.
