NEW LONDON, Conn. – Senior Emily Migliorini (North Haven, Conn.) was victorious in both singles and doubles play, but it wasn't quite enough, as the Connecticut College women's tennis team dropped a close dual match to Holy Cross by a 5-4 decision on Sunday afternoon.
Migliorni first teamed up with freshman Allison Falvey (Wakefield, Mass.) to post a convincing 8-4 victory over Allie Reiling and Caroline Kam at No. 1 doubles. She then cruised to a 6-4, 6-0 win over Reiling again from the top singles spot.
Freshmen Brooke Scully (Winchester, Mass.) and Alexis Tsang (Wellesley, Mass.) also picked up wins in singles action. Scully rallied to earn a 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 5 singles, while Tsang triumphed in straight sets by totals of 6-2 and 7-6 from the No. 6 position.
