NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's tennis team dropped its final match of the season to No. 40 Colby by an 8-1 score on Sunday afternoon.
Paige Braithwaite (Skillman, N.J.) picked up the lone win for the Camels at No. 6 singles. After being dealt a tough setback against her Hamilton opponent 24 hours earlier, the sophomore rebounded in a big way by defeating Jessica Tsai in straight sets, 6-2 and 6-3, to finish her season on a high note.
Seniors Brinley Bartlett (Malvern, Pa.), senior Emily Migliorini (North Haven, Conn.) and Mariah Warren (McLeansville, N.C.) all played in competitive doubles matches in their final appearances as collegians. Migliorini and Bartlett paired up at No. 3 doubles, and Warren teamed with freshman Brooke Scully (Winchester, Mass.) at the No. 1 spot. Both groups fell by scores of 8-5.
Connecticut College (8-11, NESCAC 0-8) graduates three seniors and is slated to return more than 11 letterwinners next season.
