BOSTON, Mass.—Junior Bella Franz (pictured) of Water Mill, N.Y. catapulted all the way up to the fourth spot on the national performance list in the 800 meters Saturday, breaking her own school record with a time of 2:13.02 at the Boston University Terrier Classic. Franz qualified for the New England Division, the ECAC and the All-New England Championships with her performance.
In the 500 meters, junior Ashley Curran (Franklin, Mass.) qualified for the three aforementioned championships with a time of 17:52.08 for the Camels, vaulting her way up into 16th place on the national performance list. Senior Emily Winter (Easton, Conn.) posted a time of 18:49.43 in the 5000, earning an invitation to the New England Division III Championship.
Over at Tufts University, Olivia Vener (Marblehead, Mass.) placed seventh in the pentathlon with a score of 2538 points, earning an invitation to the New England Division III Championship.
Senior Lauren Kennedy (Longmeadow, Mass.) threw the shot put 11.54 meters to place fifth for the Camels.
