MEDFORD, Mass. – Sophomore Koko Mensah (Orange, N.J.) of the Connecticut College women's track & field team broke the school record in the shot put at a final qualifying meet hosted by Tufts University.
Mensah notched a toss that traveled 43-feet, 3.25-inches to place second overall among a competitive field and surpass the previous program standard of 42-8.25 established by Lauren Kennedy in 2017. The mark also ranks 30th nationally.
Connecticut College will now turn its attention to the outdoor season, which begins when the Camels trek to Middletown, Connecticut for the Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday, March 24.
