Mensah Selected to Compete at NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Sophomore thrower Koko Mensah (Orange, N.J.) of the Connecticut College women's track & field team has been selected to compete in the shot put at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, as announced by the national organization this morning.

Mensah is seeded 11th among a field of 22 competitors in her premier event. Her season-best mark of 45-feet, 8.50-inches was registered at a final qualifying meet hosted by MIT on Thursday, May 17. Mensah also posted a runner-up finish in the shot put at the NESCAC Championships to help the Camels record their second-highest point total in program history at the annual competition.

The championship meet will take place at Wisconsin-La Crosse's Roger Herring Stadium in La Crosse, Wisconsin from May 24-26. Mensah will compete in the shot put on Friday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. (1:00 p.m. CST).
