Koko Mensah Competes in Shot Put at NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Sophomore Koko Mensah (Orange, N.J.) competed in the shot put at the NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships on Friday at Wisconsin La Crosse's Roger Herring Stadium.

Mensah, who was making her first-ever appearance at an NCAA championship event, placed 18th overall by recording a throw that sailed 42-feet, 11-inches on her third and final attempt. Brockport's Victoire Kother won the event by registering a mark of 52-1.25 on her last try.

Led by Mensah, the Connecticut College women's outdoor track & field team put together one of its best seasons in program history. The Camels registered their second-highest point total ever at the NESCAC Championships as well as the New England Division III Championships while also posting their second-highest finish in school history at each championship event. Furthermore, the program established new school records in eight different events.
