Volleyball’s Sam Hunter Selected to Compete in NEWVA Senior All Star Game and Skills Competition

BEVERLY, Mass. – Connecticut College volleyball standout Sam Hunter (Pacific Palisades, Calif.) is among 30 NCAA Division III student-athletes who have been selected to participate in the New England Women's Volleyball Association (NEWVA) Senior Classic All Star Game and Skills Competition, as announced by the organization.

The event will take place on Sunday, Dec. 3 and be held in Bobbi Brown and Steven Plofker Gym on the campus of Emerson College in Boston.

Hunter completed a strong four-year career as a right side hitter, finishing with 857 kills, 785 digs, 118 assists, 88 service aces and 58 blocks while hitting at a .220 clip. This past fall, she led the Camels with 259 kills and finished second on the team in digs as well as aces with 247 and 26, respectively. The senior also helped the program win 55 games and make three NESCAC Tournament appearances during the last four seasons.
