Haverford 60, Connecticut College 59 Bullitt Nets 16 Points, Grabs Seven Boards for Camels

HAVERFORD, Pa.--Haverford College held off Connecticut College for a 60-59 victory in the first round of the 21st annual Equinox Classic played in Haverford, Pennsylvania Friday night. Connecticut College junior John Bullitt (Brookline, Mass.) poured in 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Camels in the opener.

Matt Vadas (Spring Lake Heights, N.J.) chipped in with 15 points and 14 boards en route to a double-double. Aaron McBurnie (New York, N.Y.) added 13 points and five boards for the Camels, who will play Swarthmore tomorrow afternoon at 3.

"Our guys played really hard but that's no consolation," Connecticut College Head Men's Basketball Coach Tom Satran said. "We will improve and learn from tonight but we all, players, fans, parents and coaches, hurt when we lose. I'm proud of the effort and see a lot of promise in our team."

Senior Cam Baker (Columbus, Ohio) netted a game-high 23 points to go with six rebounds for the Fords. Brett Cohen (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) scored 19 points and added seven rebounds for Haverford.
