Box Score SWARTHMORE, Pa.--Caitlin Cimino (Falmouth, Maine) poured in a game-high 19 points to go with 10 rebounds in a magnificent debut as Connecticut College advanced to the title game of the Swarthmore Tip-Off Tournament with a 63-53 triumph against Cabrini College in Swarthmore, Pa.
The Camels will take on Swarthmore College Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m.
Senior Tara Gabelman (Irvington, N.Y.) and first year guard Liz Malman (Mendham, N.J.) contributed with 11 points each for the winning side. Gabelman ripped down eight rebounds while Malman added two steals.
Kaitlyn Cresencia (New Providence, N.J.) had five points and five rebounds in 24 minutes of action off of the Camel bench.
Junior forward Amber Keys (Phoenixville, Pa.) finished with 15 points and seven rebounds for Cabrini. Megan Decker (Philadelphia, Pa.) posted a double with 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Cavaliers.
The Camels dug in at the defensive end, limiting Cabrini to just 16 field goals in 53 attempts (30%) in the contest. The Cavs were a formidable opponent after finishing with an impressive 24-4 record last season.
Connecticut College converted at a 39% clip from the field but the Camels were most impressive on the charity stripe, where they shot 80% (20-for-25).
