Box Score

NEW LONDON, Conn.—Connecticut College and Colby College battled to a scoreless draw in a NESCAC men's soccer match played on Tempel Green Sunday.

The Camels move to 5-6-1 with a 2-4-1 record in NESCAC play. The visiting Mules from Colby are 5-5-2 with a 1-5-1 mark in conference action.

Daniel Cui (Foster City, Calif.) made six saves to earn the shutout for the hosts in his first collegiate start.  Peter Quayle (Lincoln, Mass.) stopped six shots en route to his shutout for the visitors.

Both teams had their share of offensive chances to pull this one out.

With two minutes left, Matt Giron (Barrington, R.I.) dribbled into the right side of the box and unloaded with a shot but Mike Flippin (Greenwich, Conn.) was able to get his body in front of the ball to send it out of play.

Connecticut College had the best scoring chance in the extra sessions. Kevin O'Brien (Wellesley, Mass.) delivered a pass to Pat Devlin (Washington Crossing, Pa) in the middle of the box. Devlin redirected it with a header that was headed for the back of the net but Quayle was able to make a diving stab to cover the post and keep the game scoreless.
