Box Score BRONXVILLE, N.Y.---Junior point guard Bo McKinley (Westport, N.Y.) tallied 13 points, six assists and four rebounds to lead the Connecticut College men's basketball team to a convincing 81-45 victory at Sarah Lawrence College Wednesday night.
McKinley connected on 5-of-9 shots from the field and was a perfect 2-for-2 at the charity stripe.
The Camels improved their record to 5-3 with their third consecutive win. The Gryphons fell to 1-8 with the loss.
"We were sloppy on both ends of the court a lot of the time but made enough plays to win," Connecticut College Head Men's Basketball Coach Tom Satrain said "We definitely need a few days off to study and rest before our trip to North Carolina."
Lee Messier (Narragansett, R.I.) chipped in with 12 points in 20 minutes of action for the Camels. Sophomore Zuri Pavlin (New York, N.Y.) dumped in 11 points to go with eight rebounds in the triumph.
Freshman Sean McNally (Hanover, Mass.) was a perfect 3-for-3 from the field and 2-for-2 from long distance en route to his nine points. Isaiah Robinson (Lynn, Mass.) and Austin Brown (Katonah, N.Y.) both finished with eight points. Robinson added four rebounds in a 4-for-5 shooting effort while Brown added six boards in a 3-for-4 shooting performance.
Ege Ozcan (Istanbul, Turkey) poured in a game-high 16 points while adding five rebounds for the host Gryphons.
Sophomore Graham Gilleran (San Francisco, Calif.) added seven points and three rebounds in the loss.
Connecticut College stormed out to a 41-20 advantage at the break. The Camels enjoyed a 43-to-27 edge on the backboards.
The Camels will play their next game Tuesday, December 30 when they visit Methodist University for a 1:00 p.m. game in Fayetteville, N.C.
