NEW LONDON, Conn.--The Connecticut College men's water polo team hosted Iona College for the second half of its day-night doubleheader Saturday.
Iona College improved its record to 1-4 with a 15-7 victory over the Camels (0-4).
Senior Jake Lloyd (Sinking Spring, Pa.) scored four goals to lead the Gaels in the victory. Zach Presto (Pittsburgh, Pa.) chipped in with three goals while Zach Roper (Orchard Park, N.Y.), James Ramaley (Old Greenwich, Conn.) and Elerick Curet (San Juan, Puerto Rico) all finished with two.
Junior net-minder Matt McCrudeen (Fort Washington, Pa.) finished with eight saves for the visitors.
Connecticut College junior Carlos Heros (Key Biscayne, Fla.) erupted with a hat-trick to please the large home crowd in Lott Natatorium. Senior All-American Nick DiLeo (Coopersburg, Pa.) scored twice for the hosts. Isaih Porter (La Jolla, Calif.) and Henry McMillan (New York, N.Y.) added single markers.
Junior Daniel Albers (Aloha, Ore.) had eight saves in the setback. Matthew Wagman (Needham, Mass.) contributed with two saves in relief duty.
Connecticut College will host the St. Francis Terriers tomorrow afternoon for a 3:30 p.m. match in New London.
