Connecticut College 19, Caltech 12 Anderson Posts First Win at Helm of Camel Water Polo Program

PASADENA, Calif.--The Connecticut College men's water polo team coasted to a 19-12 victory against the California Institute of Technology in match played in Pasadena Sunday.

The Camels celebrated the first win for recently appointed head coach Matt Anderson.

 Junior Carlos Heros (Miami, Fla.) exploded with six goals and two steals in the offensive uprising. Senior All-American Nick DiLeo (Coopersburg, Pa.) recorded a hat-trick for the winning side with three goals and three assists. Robert Spencer (Chevy Chase, Md.), a two-time All-American selection for the Camels, had two goals, three assists and three steals in the triumph.

Sophomore Karan Das-Grande (Menlo Park, Calif.) sandwiched a pair of goals around an assist in his return to the Golden State.  Isaih Porter (La Jolla, Calif.) scored twice for the Camels.  Henry McMillan (New York, N.Y.) scored one goal while adding two steals in the win.

Paul MacMullin (Haverhill, Mass.), Aiden Kelso (Washington, D.C.) and Daniel Seo (Lakewood, Calif.) all contributed with single markers for Camel Nation.

The Camels (1-5) carried a 3-1 lead after one quarter of play. The visitors built a 9-4 advantage at the half and were able to hold on for the 19-12 triumph.

Caltech fell to 5-7 with the loss.
