NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – The Connecticut College men's water polo team fell to Iona College by a 19-7 decision on Saturday morning.
 
Iona (4-5) scored the first four goals and led from wire-to-wire. Junior Sam Guy put the Camels on the board with 2:03 left in the first quarter, but that was as close as the visitors would come the rest of the way. Lester Machado extended the margin to twin figures at 14-4 midway through the third, and the Gales eventually came up on top by 12.
 
Junior Christian Jacobsen (North Palm Beach, Fla.) had a strong two-way effort by netting three goals and also making a pair of saves in relief between the posts.
 
Connecticut College (0-3) will next compete at a weekend tournament hosted by Harvard University beginning on Saturday, Oct. 16.
