Jake Gehron (Kittery, Maine) netted his first career hat trick in leading the Connecticut College men's soccer team to a 4-0 triumph over Mitchell College on Wednesday afternoon.
The Camels netted their first two goals by converting penalty kicks in the 38th and 48th minutes. Gehron put the visitors on the board first, and senior
Aiden Scales doubled the margin early in the second half. Gehron then completed his hat trick by scoring twice in the final five minutes of regulation by finishing passes from classmate

Freshman
Peter Silvester (Smith Parish, Bermuda) earned the shutout without facing a shot on goal. Dylan Kinsella of Mitchell (0-10-3) made nine saves while being peppered with 32 shots.
Connecticut College (10-3), which has won seven of its last eight matches, will next host No. 3 Tufts for a pivotal NESCAC matchup on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. The senior class will be recognized prior to the contest.
