Men’s Cross Country Earns Dual Meet Victory Over Mitchell

WATERFORD, CONN. - First-year runners Ascher MacClean (Worcester, Mass.) and Lucas Vasquez (Ewing, N.Y.) placed first and second, respectively, in the Connecticut College cross country team's dual meet win against Mitchell College at Stenger Farms on Friday afternoon. 
 
MacClean and Vasquez led the Camels by navigating the 6k course in 20:09, while freshman Sean Evans followed with a runner-up time of 20:21. The Camels filled the top five times of the overall race to finish, with sophomore Will Bryant (Hingham, Mass.) completing his run in 20:32, and junior Bennett MacDougall (Wellesley, Mass.) crossing the finish line with a time of 20:36.
 
Connecticut College finished with an impressive 15 points by taking spots one through thirteen in the overall field. Mitchell placed second in the crosstown meet with 50 points. 
 
Connecticut College will next host its invitational meet at Harkness Park in Waterford, Connecticut on Saturday, October 16th.
