POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Connecticut College men's squash team split against its competition on Saturday. The Camels were victorious over host Vassar by an 8-1 score before falling to Haverford by a score of 6-3. The win over Vassar marked the first victory of the season for the Camels.
Senior
Billy Fleurima (Bronx, N.Y.) won both of his matches from the No. 2 spot, as he defeated Vassar's Sameer Mustafa by a score of 3-1 (11-8, 7-11, 11-7, 11-6) and followed that victory up by defeating Haverford's Peter Lehv in a marathon five-set match by a score of 3-2 (9-11, 11-8, 9-11, 11-6, 11-9).

Luigi Pasquariello (Bronx, N.Y.) was also victorious in both of his matchups by defeating Vassar's Jarid Haslinger by scores of 11-5, 11-2, 11-7 and Haverford's Alden Weinberg by scores of 5-11, 11-3, 11-6, 11-5 from the No. 7 position. Junior
Juan Hurtado (New Haven, Conn.) was the third Camel to win both of his matches for the day, as he topped both of his opponents in four sets by scores of 11-5, 11-13, 11-9, and 11-5 versus Vassar and 9-11, 11-9, 11-9, 11-7 against Haverford from the No. 9 position
Connecticut College (1-4, NESCAC 0-2) will next return home to host Northeastern tomorrow morning at 11:00 a.m.
