HARTFORD, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's basketball team wrapped up a two-game weekend series against Trinity with a 66-49 victory over the Bantams in an exhibition matchup on Sunday afternoon.
"I could not be more proud of the way our team responded today," said head coach
Jackie Smith. "It was by far the best we have played, and it started with our effort defensively."
Everyone who played contributed and scored. Junior
Claire Gulbin (Wilton, Conn.) led the Camels with 16 points, while classmate
Emily Tripp (Westport, Mass.) added 13 points.
"Again, having the opportunity to play against a great conference opponent like Trinity is so much fun," added Smith. "Being able to play as well as we did just makes it that much better."
