NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College men's tennis team fell to Wesleyan in its third NESCAC match of the season by a 9-0 score on Sunday afternoon.
Though the Cardinals ended up triumphing in the doubles matches, the teams of junior
Julian Tien (Barrington, R.I.) and senior
Zak Danz (West Tisbury, Mass.) at the No. 1 spot, and senior
Brian Gould (Lebanon, Conn.) and sophomore
Aaron Fleishman (Brookline, Mass.) at the No. 2 spot, both put up good fights against their opponents with identical scores of 8-4.
While the Cardinals were also able to capture all of the singles matches, the Camels got a notable performance from junior
Sean Jenkins (Davidson, N.C.), who had the closest match of the day. He battled hard against Marcus Sweeney before falling by scores of 7-5 and 6-2.
Connecticut College (0-3) is next slated to host Tufts on Saturday, April 17th.
