MYSTIC, Conn. – The Connecticut College men's tennis team dropped its match against Bates by a 9-0 decision on Sunday evening.
Though the Bobcats captured all of the doubles matches, the Camels had notable performances from the No. 1 and 2 positions. At the No. 1 spot, the Bobcats narrowly clipped junior Julian Tien (Barrington, R.I.) and senior Zak Danz (West Tisbury, Mass.) by a final score of 8-5. Additionally, sophomore Aaron Fleishman (Brookline, Mass.) and senior Brian Gould (Lebanon, Conn.) teamed up at the No. 2 spot to have the closest match of the day, falling to their opponents by a score of 8-6.
Fleishman was also competitive at the No. 4 singles position, earning a 6-1 set win over his opponent before falling in subsequent sets by scores of 6-2 and 10-3.
Connecticut College (0-6, NESCAC East 0-4) has completed NESCAC East action.
