Men’s Swimming And Diving Comes Up Short At Amherst College

AMHERST, Mass.
– The Connecticut College men's swimming and diving team lost to Amherst College, 158.5-129.5, on Saturday afternoon at the Pratt Pool.
 
Sophomore Matthew Laclef (Bethesda, Md.) highlighted three Camel winners in swimming events by capturing the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 16:10.36, breaking the Amherst pool record. Senior Charlie Adl (New Canaan, Conn.) registered a top finish in the 200 free in 1:42.00, and junior Mitchell Lockwood (Winchester, Mass.) finished first in the 200 back in 1:54.92.
 
Junior Kai Listgarten (San Mateo, Calif.), meanwhile, won both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events with scores of 251.70 and 238.28.
 
Connecticut College (3-2, NESCAC 1-2) will next compete against Wesleyan on Saturday, January 29th in Middletown, Connecticut.
