MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's squash team fell to Wesleyan by a score of 9-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Conn senior
Birgitta Salvesen-Quinn (Cambridge, Mass.) put up the best fight for the Camels from the no. 6 spot, just falling short of her opponent by a score of 3-2 (11-8, 12-14, 7-11, 11-9, 11-7). Fellow senior
Johanile Hurtado (New Haven, Conn.) also lost a close matchup from the no. 5 spot, falling to her opponent by a score of 3-1 (14-12, 3-11, 12-10, 11-6). Lastly, sophomore
Caroline Champa (Boston, Mass.) fell to her opponent in the no. 8 spot by a score of 3-1 (11-6, 11-7, 6-11, 11-8) in another close matchup.
Connecticut College (3-6, NESCAC 0-4) will next travel to Providence, R.I. on Thursday, January 27th, to take on Brown at 5:00 p.m.
