MIDDLETOWN, Conn. -- The Connecticut College women's squash team dropped a 9-0 decision to NESCAC foe Wesleyan on Wednesday evening.
Wesleyan, the 25
th ranked women's program in the country, were solid from top to bottom. The Cardinals took each match in straight sets, with the exception of the No. 1 position.
Rachel Matamoros (New Haven, Conn.) battled in the top spot, but ultimately fell to Avika Pande in four sets, 12-10, 11-6, 11-9, 11-8.
Connecticut College (1-6) will break for the remainder of the semester and return to action on Jan. 14 against Denison.
