Clinton, N.Y. - The Connecticut College women's squash team lost to Middlebury 9-0 in the first round of the NESCAC Championships on Friday night.
Seeded 10th, the Camels most notably received set wins from Caroline Champa (Boston, Mass.) and Birgitta Salvesen-Quinn (Cambridge, Mass.) After dropping the first two sets, Champa took the third, before coming up just short in the fourth losing 12-10. Salvesen-Quinn took the first set in the No. 6 spot before falling to Middlebury's Grace Santoro.
Connecticut College (4-9) will next face 11th-seeded Colby in the consolation bracket tomorrow morning at 9 a.m.
