CLINTON, N.Y. - The Connecticut College women's squash program dropped both of its consolation matches at the NESCAC Championships on Saturday morning. The Camels lost a close 5-4 battle with Colby, before falling to Wesleyan 9-0.

Lili Vazquez (Chicago, Ill.), Birgitta Salvesen-Quinn (Cambridge, Mass.), Johanile Hurtado (New Haven, Conn.) and Caroline Champa all earned victories against the Mules. Colby was able to get straight-set wins in the other five matches to seal the 5-4 decision.

Later in the morning, the Camels played Wesleyan in their final match of the NESCAC Championships. Although the Cardinals won 9-0, the Camels received strong efforts from Salvesen-Quinn and Rachel Matamoros (New Haven, Conn.). Each lost extremely tight, five-set decisions in the six spot and one spot respectively.

Connecticut College (4-11) will compete at CSA Nationals later in February.
