SPRINGFIELD, Conn. - The Connecticut College women's tennis team dropped a close non-conference matchup with Springfield College on Wednesday afternoon. The Pride topped the Camels 5-4 to remain undefeated on the season, with a record of 7-0.

Senior Alexis Tsang (Wellesley Hills, Mass.) and freshman Caitlin Cass (Newcastle, Maine) earned a hard-fought 8-6 win for Connecticut College at the No. 2 doubles position. Cass and Tsang followed up that performance with straight-set victories at the No. 1 and 2 singles positions respectively.

Sophomore Caroline Champa (Boston, Mass.) picked up the other Camels' win at the No. 6 spot, recording a 6-2, 6-4 decision. Senior Allison Falvey (Wakefield, Mass.) battled over the course of three sets, but ultimately came up short at the No. 3 position.

The Camels will be back in action on Thursday and will play Wheaton at home before beginning their NESCAC schedule this weekend.
