The Connecticut College men's tennis team dropped a pair of matches to Amherst and Hamilton over the weekend. The Camels lost to the Mammoths 9-0 on Saturday, and fell to the Continentals 8-1 a day later.
Riding a three-match win streak, the Camels took on nationally-ranked Amherst on the road. The Mammoths took each match in straight-sets, although Conn junior
Aaron Fleishman (Brookline, Mass.) narrowly lost, falling 7-5, 6-4 at the No. 6 singles position.
On Sunday, Hamilton topped Conn College 8-1. The lone Camels' win was picked up at the No. 3 doubles position by Fleishman and freshman
Jules Taylor-Kerman. Senior
Henry De Coster (Greenwich, Conn.) and sophomore
David Poudrier (Fairfield, Conn.) took their opponents to three sets in the No. 2 and 3 singles positions, but ultimately came up short.
Connecticut College (5-3) will play in its home opener against Bates on Saturday, April 2.
