NEW LONDON, Conn. – After an hour-long weather-related delay during the second quarter of play, the Connecticut College women's lacrosse team fell to Tufts on senior day by a score of 21-7 on Saturday afternoon.
The Jumbos pulled ahead with a 5-2 lead after the first quarter of play and would not look back. Despite five different Camels scoring on the day, they would not be able to keep up with the Jumbos and junior Caroline Walter who tallied five goals of her own throughout the game for Tufts. Senior
Kelly Wolin (Sudbury, Mass.) scored an important goal in the first quarter to keep the Camels close before Tufts continued to pull away. Wolin also provided an assist in the highlight of the day for the Camels, which was an impressive behind-the-head shot by sophomore
Julianna Ingrassia (Garden City, N.Y.) that found the back of the net for her third and final goal of the contest.

Violette Nidds (Ridgewood, N.J.) took the loss for the Camels, allowing 19 goals and making 13 saves. Molly Laliberty earned the win for the Jumbos, making six saves in ten attempts.
Connecticut College (5-6, NESCAC 0-6) will travel to Amherst, Mass. on Wednesday, April 13
th, to take on the Mammoths in another NESCAC matchup at 6:00 p.m.
