NORTON, Mass. – The Connecticut College men's indoor track team participated in a non-scoring event at Wheaton College on Saturday afternoon.
Matt Carter (Manchester, Mass.),
Harry Harwood (Woodbury, Conn.),
Jeffrey Love, (Union, N.J.), and
Chris Koskinen (Yarmouth, Maine) all were individual winners at the six-team meet.
Koskinen broke his own record set last week in the pole vault, clearing a height of 4.80 meters, easily winning the event.
Carter was victorious in the one-mile run, recording a time of 4:18.81, a new personal best in the event. Teammate
Jonathan Norton (Vineyard Haven, Mass.) finished right behind in second place, completing the distance in 4:21.99.
In the 800, the Camels placed first and second once again. Harwood finished first in 1:58.09, while
Lucas Vasquez (Ewing, N.Y.) was the runner-up just over one second behind.
Love won the 3k in 8:22.59, followed by teammate
Chris Verstandig (Slingerlands, N.Y.) who finished in 8:39.84.
Connecticut College will return to competition on Sunday, January 29 at Middlebury's New England Small College Invite.
