NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's squash team dropped a non-conference match to Dickinson on Friday evening at Luce Field House. 

The Camels fell to the Red Dragons 8-1. Senior Leslie Gonzalez (New York, N.Y.) was the lone winner for the hosts out of the No. 9 slot.

Gonzalez had the match of the day in the final competition of the evening. After splitting the first four sets with Dickinson's Elizabeth Howerton, Gonzalez won a gutsy fifth frame, toppling Howerton 13-11.

In the No. 7 position, Tanya Mendoza (Bronx, N.Y.) narrowly fell in five sets to Dickinson's Elissa Goldman. After Mendoza won the first two sets, Goldman stormed back to take the final three frames, securing the victory for the Red Devils.

Connecticut College (3-8 overall) will next host Hamilton on Sunday, January 29 at 12 p.m. Prior to the competition, the Camels will honor their three seniors in a pre-match ceremony.
