CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The Connecticut College women's rowing team made its season debut at the 58th Head of the Charles Regatta over the weekend.

The Camels competed in two events over the course of the prestigious three-day event. The HOCR annually attracts top collegiate teams from across the country.

On Sunday, Conn finished 32nd out of 35 teams in the Women's Collegiate Eights, clocking in with a time of 20:37 over the three-mile course. Conn's lineup included coxswain Emma Lanahan, stroke Paisley Brown, 7: Emily Fairfield, 6: Sophia DeFoe, 5: Madison Andrews, 4: Julia Finney, 3: Lexi Downing, 2: Bridget McTague and bow Emily Swintak.

In Saturday's Women's Club Eights, Conn placed 34th in the field of 39 with a time of 20:18. The Camels were represented by coxswain Caroline Lee, stroke Lizzie Elsbree, 7: Eldana Zhakypbaeva, 6: Mattie Wernerfelt, 5: Caroline Zidik, 4: Annabelle Tanger, 3: Carly Weber, 2: Tandin Johnson Ward and bow Elia Bodnar.

Conn will next compete at the Wormtown Chase on Saturday, October 28 at Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass.
