WILLIMANTIC, Conn. – Four players scored in double figures as the Connecticut College men's basketball team bounced back to post a 72-55 victory over Eastern Connecticut State University on Sunday evening at Geissler Gym.
David Murray (Jackson Heights, N.Y.) led all scorers with 19 points on 8-for-11 shooting and added nine rebounds.

Ben Rice (Hanson, Mass.) layup with 15:06 to go in the half.
The Warriors stayed within striking distance, however, as Ty Calloway netted seven points in the stanza to lead the charge. In the final minute of the half, a layup by Jalen Hamblin cut Conn's lead to 32-26 at the break.
In the second half, the Camels led by seven before busting the game open with 18 straight points over a 5:16 span. Rice kicked things off with an old-fashioned three-point play to push the lead to double digits. Schainfeld ripped off the final eight points of the run with a layup and a pair of threes, giving Conn its biggest lead of the night at 57-32 with 11:43 remaining. Eastern shot 0-for-5 during the stretch and turned the ball over twice.
Schainfeld and Murray combined for 24 points in the second half to lead the Conn offense. Schainfeld also finished with four assists and four steals in the contest.
The Camels improved to 4-0 on the road this season and picked up their first win at Geissler Gym since 2016. Eastern dropped to 1-5 overall on the year.
