WILLIMANTIC, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's basketball team picked up its first win of the season in dominant fashion, cruising to an 80-42 final over Eastern Connecticut State University on Sunday afternoon at Geissler Gym.
The Camels shot a season-high 54 percent from the field and outscored the Warriors in every quarter. Conn never trailed in the game and led by double digits after just six minutes, building the margin to as many as 38 by the fourth quarter.

Hallie O'Toole (Wilbraham, Mass.).
Rebecca Oberman-Levine (Hamden, Conn.) filled out the stat sheet with 13 points, six rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block, and
Addi Hunter (St. George, Vt.) and
Catie Donadio (Clinton, Conn.) added 10 points apiece.
Conn led 4-2 in the early going but took control behind a 16-0 run that included six points from Oberman-Levine. She finished with eight points in the period as the Camels shot 12-for-20 as a team and led 25-6 after one.
The Warriors used a 9-0 run to start the second quarter and cut the deficit down to 10. However, Conn responded with a 10-1 spurt that included back-to-back buckets by Hunter and three-pointers from O'Toole and Oberman-Levine. Later, the Camels got another three from Oberman-Levine to close out the half and led 46-24 at intermission.
Conn continued to pour it on in the third quarter, outscoring the hosts by a 23-11 margin. O'Toole and
Catherine Cole (Lebanon, N.H.) each supplied five points in the period as the lead grew to 69-35. In the fourth, the Conn reserves outscored the Warriors 11-7 as the lead continued to balloon.
The Camels forced 25 turnovers and turned that into 21 points, finishing with a season-high 15 steals in the process. Conn also doubled up Eastern in points in the paint (28-14) and held a 35-16 advantage in bench scoring.
Conn (1-4 overall) will next host Johnson & Wales University on Wednesday, November 29 at 7:00 p.m.
