NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College men's and women's squash teams defeated Bard College in the final matches of the regular season for both squads.

The men's squad triumphed 6-0, while the women's team blanked the Raptors 4-0 on Friday night at Luce Field House.

In the men's No. 1 spot, Sam Lovejoy (Branford, Conn.) had the match of the day. After dropping the first two sets against Bard's Artemy Muhkin, the junior stormed back to win the next three sets for the incredible comeback victory. The hardfought match lasted for more than an hour.

Also picking up wins for the Camels were Noah Fish (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.), Peter Russell (Lancaster, Pa.), Alexander Navarro (New Haven, Conn.), Tim First (Concord, Mass.) and Chris Meza (New Haven, Conn.).

On the women's side, the Camels easily dispatched Bard. Izzy Schumacher (Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.), Miranda Medina (Houston, Texas), Crystal Dixon (Chicago, Ill.), and Caroline Champa (Boston, Mass.) all won in straight sets for the hosts.

Both the men's and the women's team will be back in action for the CSA Championships later this month. The women's tournament runs from February 17-19, while the men compete the following weekend.
