BOSTON, Mass. – The Connecticut College men's track & field team competed at the Boston University Valentine Invitational over the weekend.
The Camels yielded outstanding results at the highly-competitive meet, which featured some of the best teams in the country across all three divisions of collegiate athletics. Several Conn athletes earned career-best marks over the course of the two-day event.
Senior
Jeffrey Love (Union, N.J.) set a personal best in the 3k, finishing 8:11.18. The result was good enough for 91st place and is the 12th fastest time in Division III this season. Teammate
Jonathan Norton (Vineyard Haven, Mass.) crossed the line in 8:41.90.
Senior
Matt Carter (Manchester, Mass.) ran well in the 5k, finishing in 14:33.19
Matt Scardigno (Port Washington, N.Y.) placed 28th overall in the unseeded 5k, recording a career-best time of 14:44.14.
Brendan Mellitt (Cheshire, Conn.) and
Ethan Bush (Hanover, Mass.) finished just behind in 45th and 47th place respectively.
Connecticut College will be back in action next weekend at the Springfield Invitational.
