PHILADELPHIA, Penn. – The Connecticut College women's squash team wrapped up its season on a high note, winning its final two matches.

Playing out of the consolation bracket in the College Squash Association (CSA) Epps Cup division, the Camels bested Vassar 9-0 on Saturday before triumphing over Mount Holyoke 7-2 on Sunday afternoon.

In Saturday's matchup against Vassar, the Camels dominated from top-to-bottom, winning eight of the nine contests in straight sets. Senior Tanya Mendoza (Bronx, N.Y.) was particularly impressive out of the No. 7 position. After handily winning the first two sets 11-2, 11-2, Mendoza shut out her opponent in the third set with an emphatic 11-0 victory.

Conn was once again in great form on Sunday against Mount Holyoke. The Camels earned straight-set victories from all seven winners. In the No. 5 position, Caroline Champa (Boston, Mass.) was outstanding, only conceding a total of nine points throughout the three-set competition.

Double winners for the weekend included Mendoza, Champa, Crystal Dixon (Chicago, Ill.), Izzy Schumacher (Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.) and Eva Ross (Washington, D.C.).

Connecticut College (6-12 overall) graduates three seniors and returns nine athletes with varsity experience for next season.
