AMHERST, Mass. -- The Connecticut College women's squash team split a Saturday doubleheader at Amherst. The Camels fell to the Mammoths 9-0 before taking down Mount Holyoke 8-1 later in the day.
In the first match of the day, the Mammoths were able to sweep the Camels at every slot. But Conn responded in its regular season finale against Mount Holyoke.
The Camels dominated at nearly every position en route to the 8-1 victory.
Ainsley Ellison (Westfield, N.J.),
Crystal Dixon (Chicago, Ill.),
Caroline Champa (Boston, Mass.),
Kimberly Lucero (New York, N.Y.),
Tanya Mendoza (Bronx, N.Y.),
Eva Ross (Washington, D.C.) and
Leslie Gonzalez (New York, N.Y.) all dispatched their opponents in straight sets. First year
Miranda Medina (Houston, Texas) also picked up a four-set win in the No. 3 position.
Now that regular season play has concluded, Connecticut College (3-11 overall) will next compete at the College Squash Association (CSA) Championships on February 24. Seeding will be announced later this month.
