HADLEY, Mass. - The Connecticut College men's rowing team opened the spring season against  Amherst College and Union College on Saturday morning on the Connecticut River.

The three-team event featured a pair of 1,800-meter races. The start was a floating start with a slight tail wind, but the water was mostly flat.   

In the men's varsity 4+ event, the boat coxed by Callista Crisonino finished third in a time of 8:34. Crisonino and the Camels fared better in the men's varsity 8+ event, placing second with a time of 7:12. Union College took the top spot in both events.

Conn College will next compete in the Donahue Cup on Saturday, April 15 at Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass.
